3 Girls + 1 Boy + 1 Kitchen = Yummy Chinese Food

I know I'm posting like a maniac today but I have to write about this weekend of fun, friends, and pure wonderful relaxation.

Everyone in my suite is staying in St. Louis for Spring Break + my boyfriend - dear roomie, who is running around Switzerland stuffing her face with amazing chocolate and basically having the time of her life in Europe. Yeah. Jealous. But the rest of us went to Schnuck's, a local grocery store, and bought supplies to make Chinese food. Yay! It's been such a long time since I've tasted home cooking and we did a pretty darn good job.

Tu dou si - potato strips with shredded carrot and sesame! They're salted with Chicken Bouillon squares and totally delicious with fried rice.

Xi hong shi chao ji dan - Sweetened tomatoes with scrambled eggs. We used 8 eggs, scrambled them first, then added tomatoes and mashed their juices out, simmered and added a bit of salt and a lot of sugar. Yummy!

Fried rice, the centerpiece of it all. We bought 4 chunks of meat and cut them up, seasoned them with teriyaki sauce and added Chicken Bouillon squares, salt, mushrooms, more sauce. Sooooo freaking good.

One of my suitemates ready to chow down :3 Family dinner!

The famed Chicken flavour squares

Cheap Teriyaki sauce

Gold Peak Iced Tea = best stuff ever. Less than $3 for this HUGE bottle - take that, Bear Mart!
OJ tastes freshly squeezed : ) So delicious!

Traveling to and from the grocery store ...
Ahahahaa orange peddler. Get it? He rolls up his jeans so they don't snag on the bike wheel. Gotta love Cuties/Clementines (the tiny yummy oranges)

Grainy, but you get the point ♥
