Sail Me to the Moon

Hello lovelies! Thank you so much for your support on my anniversary post - I got 52 comments! That is absolutely mind-blowing. As some of you may know, I've been suffering a nocturnal, near-vampire state these past few weeks. It seems to be the natural state of things when I'm on break from school. Even if I am studying and working, I just seem to come alive (and awake) when the sun sets. Don't worry - I don't glitter like some wannabes :D

It has been so long since I've put on a cute outfit! Now I've gotten pickier and only want to take nice photos in bright, bright sunlight. None of that indoors bathroom business xD So today I successfully stayed awake and hauled all my equipment (aka me, clothes, camera, mini tripod) out to the stairs and snapped some shots. Many people stared as they drove by. Whatever. I felt glamourous : )

This is the long-anticipated sailor dress! I love how simple it is, and how a few navy stripes can make a white dress nautical-inspired, and the big fat bow that doesn't like to lie flat. The material is quite thick cotton, so it's been wrinkling up a hot mess, but a few wrinkles isn't going to cramp my beach style. I finally broke out the big floppy sunhat from H&M too! I absolutely love the oversized feeling and they work much better for me than sunglasses do (they slide off my nose). My contacts are drying out as I speak. That's what you get for wearing glasses for 2 weeks straight and trying to live with little pieces of plastic in your eye.

The Dollywink purse - that's what I'm going to call it. I love it so much! When I first opened the box I thought that the colour was off but it's totally fine in bright lighting. It's super soft and the straps have good weight. I just wish it could hold more things inside. I'm definitely a huge throw bag kind of girl. Might as well just sport a backpack for all the crap I carry :D

All my self-timer pics were BLURRY. I had to sharpen then using Picnik (more user friendly than Photoshop sometimes), a program I was first acquainted with in high school from Facebook, as I recall. Thanks to Kristy, I now refound its wonders and quick photo-editing tricks. I left the framing uncropped because I am lazy and I like the way I flicker across the screen as you scroll down.

The beautiful coral necklace I won from Steph's DSK Jewelry Giveaway. I love it so much! The chain glitters so happily in the sun and the crystal is so unique and calls for summer dreaming. She also gave me a pair of cute green crystal earrings that I paired with an old Claire's set that matches the blue and white theme. I will post specifically about her lovely package in the next few days! Thank you so much, Stephanie! You are so talented and make such lovely jewelry (Yes, I attempted to model the necklace xD You'll see hahaha).

By the way I'm wearing my new Revlon PhotoReady Foundation in 04 Nude. It's a little light for me (omg I'm so tannnn T___T) but it doesn't show poorly in pictures. It makes my skin feel really soft and plump hehe. I spent so much time putting on makeup and curling my hair today because I was also taking pics for reviews. I will post FOTD pictures tomorrow! Can you believe I haven't worn any kind of makeup on my face for over a week now? Turns out just washing my face and not touching it with my dirty fingernails doesn't stop my acne. Must be hormonal D: Ack. Still using my St. Ives products - I am loving the Green Tea Scrub most.

As promised from last time, I will curb your curiosity! Thank you to everyone who submitted questions!
1) What is your height? I am 5'3"! It's kind of interesting because since I've started following Petite bloggers and getting to know them better, I feel too tall to be in the club :D However, while growing up in very Caucasian towns, people always made fun of me for being short. I'm only an inch below national average - don't get your panties into a bunch! I remember one of my friends called me "Bonsai" and that ticked me off. Now I realize with high heels everyone's tall :D I like my height!
2) How long have you and your darling been together? :) Hehe aww. We have been together for ... lemme check, about 1 year and 7 months. I had to think because I don't count. I love being with my boyfriend and I don't want there to be an end or a timer counting away. In fact, I don't even know when our anniversary is. It's just somewhere towards the end of November. Makes planning dates a lot more flexible :D I used to sweat the small stuff and mark my calendar in past relationships, but I just realize that that never got me anywhere. I'd like to think that there was no day we met and there will be no day we have to say goodbye.
3) What is your favourite ice cream? Oooh this is so difficult to answer! I think it's Mint Chocolate Chip when I'm feeling like something not-too-sweet and Cookies & Creme when I'm craving me some sugar sugar. There is Green Tea ice cream that I miss too but I've only had it once at Sumo when I tried to help one of my friends woo the girl he is now engaged to. Oh those were the times!
