Thank You Mary! California Mango Hand Care Kit

It has been boiling hot in SoCal recently. There's no air conditioning in this apartment and opening windows actually makes it warmer (yay for radiation and convection). I woke up ready to take pictures and the sky leered, a moody grey. So on top of the occasional earthquake, the cool 60s weather we were sporting last week, and the recent blaze, it's been pretty exciting from a meteorological standpoint. Enough about the weather. You're probably thinking, "Wow, Angie ... you're taking time out of cram season to post about the weather?" Psyche! : )

I promised to feature the rest of the items that Mary of Body & Soul Beauty sent me from her Friday Follower Giveaway. The prizes were a Mango Tango Hand Care Kit from California Mango and Sally Hansen polishes in HD DVD and the oh-so-elusive-and-craved Hidden Treasure. I featured the polishes on my last post. Thank you so much, Mary : )

I'm a terrible person who doesn't moisturize my skin enough. I don't really like the feeling of heavy creams on my skin, weighing me down. The California Mango set features all sorts of rescue creams and lightweight lotions that relieve desperately dry skin. The only turnoff is the smell of the packaging or something. The actual products all smell like mango and other fruits. I played around with most of the products but not to the extent that I can do a review on them right now. I should really use these consistently so my hands don't look as scaly and filled with dry lines as they do.

I am wearing Delia's Mint Nail Polish, my favourite : )

Cute meshing on the bag, filled with 6 products that pamper your hands with some TLC. I might use this bag for as a cosmetics bag for my makeup too : )

Mango Extreme Hand & Body Creme 2 oz: this is a thicker white creme
Natural Hand & Body Lotion 2 oz: More lightweight thin moisturizer. Yes I write on my hand all the time. That was a shopping list xD
Mango Buff Natural Exfoliating Scrub 2 oz: I haven't tried this out but it should remove dead skin. This will be great for elbows, kneecaps, and feet for summer silky-smooth skin.
Mango Miracle Cuticle Remover 0.5 fl oz: I tried this out but don't think I left it on long enough. It's supposed to make your cuticles softer so they're easier to push back or remove. I personally think that's not immunologically sound because bacteria can enter your body more easily. Always thinking medicine, eh? Though all the pros remove their cuticles for picture-perfect manicures. It also makes your nails seem longer by just trimming that centimeter of soft skin.
Mango Mend Cuticle and Nail Treatment Balm 0.25 fl oz: Mary swears by this. You can basically put this wherever you need the most moisture rescue and the oil takes care of the rest. She uses a thin layer before bed and lets it sink in while she catches her beauty sleep.
Mango Magic Cuticle Treatment 1/8 fl oz: This softens cuticles and treats dryness
Sally Hansen HD in DVD: You can kind of see the purple on the sides of the bottle being reflected. It's such a pretty blue-purple micro-sparkle polish!
Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure: I just love the bottle shape too, on top of it being so pretty and amusing
Thank you Mary for your generosity and beautiful polish swatches! Check out her blog and stay cool in the summer heat, lovelies!

I posted a hiatus notice under Bamboo Digest saying I'll be out of the blogging loop for about 3 weeks until after my MCAT exam August 5th. But being as blog-obsessed as I am, I've already crumbled. If I'm not commenting as much on your posts, it's because I'm tearing pages out of my Physics book and trying to prevent that awful nightmare I had about it today xD My subconscious is telling me to go slave over some serious practice problems right now. I am most likely reading your posts and enjoying them : ) Commenting time adds up (I sub to over 200 blogs) and detracts from my goal score. I am going to spend this time to take quality pictures for more outfits, makeup looks, and product reviews when I am finished. I may make an occasional post or two : ) ♥

I was momentarily confused by seeing the Sally Hansen nail polishes again... thought I blanked out and had scrolled down to your earlier post lol...

I'm terrible at moisturizing too because I don't like the sticky feeling, but now I make myself carry a travel-size hand moisturizer in my white coat because otherwise my hands get really dry and crackly with all the numerous hand-washings I do throughout the day.

I love moisturisers but I don't like to smell of fruit... so I'm not sure I would use these. Pity because I quite like the packaging (very important!).

I love Delias, and that nail polish you're wearing! Looks like an awesome kit, but there are so. many. different. bottles. that I'd probably be bound to misuse one (or all) of them. Congrats on winning and GOOD LUCK STUDYING!

I'm not going to jinx anything for you, so farewell.

Thanks for your comment! I did have a lot of bad luck keke~~ its okay!! I feel like the good will be better because I had so much bad.. xD

The way the salon I work at does lash extensions pretty ghetto. I have had them for two weeks though and I am really rough with them! You use glue and glue them under ur natural lashes, but not on the waterline.. its hard to explain ^ ^

I will be living close to Atlanta so I think I will be okay for now! Plus I do not plan on living there for long ^ ^
