Tuesday Treats: Hello Kitty Mints + Mini Scones

Nerdy Hello Kitty raspberry sours, gift from Sarah
Mini scones at Tuesday Tea at 3
Carvary wrap with house & spicy BBQ sauce

Happy Tuesday, folks. It's been one crazy long weekend finishing my 29-page research thesis, staying at Relay for Life from 6PM-6AM (saw the sun set and rise outside in the same sitting, slept under the stars, had difficult moments of remembrance), studying for the straggler exams before finals and graduation. Thank goodness for Instagram for snapping the yummy moments of everyday. My username is @pandaphilia. Outfit posts soon!

Hi-Chew

the stash open mouth, insert candy
Pudding, preserved plum, candied strawberry Hi-Chew
special!
Black cola, cola, orange soda, grape soda, lemon soda, white soda (like ramune) Hi-chew
sodas
Lemon, green apple, strawberry, peach, grape Hi-chew
frutti tutti
HI-CHEW is a chewy Japanese candy that usually comes in many fruity flavours that actually taste like the real fruit. It's so refreshing to eat a grape candy that actually tastes like grape. You know what I'm talking about ... fake cherry or banana Laffy Taffys, orange and lemon Starburst? Of course most candy is yummy but Hi Chew takes the cake (or should I say, candy?) on realistic tastes. For example, their Cola flavour tastes exactly like pop/soda/cola! The Pudding one even has chewy bits that simulate the caramelized sugar and Kiwi has little black "seeds." They come in little individually wrapped cubes and sometimes are white with a pastel colour center but the taste is especially impressive for such a modest looking candy. Though, as a warning the ones made in Asia do taste different and better than the ones in America. Thanks to my friend Francis who brought this goldmine all the way back from Taiwan over break. Most of this stash is long gone, absorbed into my food-loving tummy keke. Hurray for Tuesday Treats!

Matcha Green Tea Kit Kat

unwrapped no makeup kit kat like matryoshka dolls
Thanks to my friend Mike for bringing back these delicious matcha green tea Kit Kats from Japan! They taste like green milk tea and even have green filling between the wafers inside. Excuse the face - it was a lazy weekend no makeup day. Big shocker: I actually look like this most days, the glasses/eye bags/pimples look in vogue, the battle scars of many nights of studying late. So much green in these pics, right? It's my favourite colour and almost everything in my room (yes my desk is lime green!) - desk, lamp, edamame peas plush - is this vibrant and lush colour. Enjoy this edition of Tuesday Treats!

Godiva Heaven: Happy Birthday From Home

Yay! Who doesn't love chocolate? : ) On 3/3, I couldn't pick up my package because I was studying hard for my exam at night but I went the next day after class and found a HUGE box of Godiva waiting for me. Omigah. Since, I've eaten through probably half of it. Heavenly *sings*

I love my family ♥

These bows are so pretty!

I love bubble wrap and popping it : ) : )

Hugging the bubble wrap - it's so soft xD

TRUFFLES :O (in French it sounds like tree-fluh, the uh is near silent)

So many freaking chocolate bars of AWESOMENESS

Layer one of the box of 36 Chocolates and Truffles

Layer two

Cute shell :D I love chocolate shells so much. This one was filled with raspberry yummyyy

Pretty green!

Super kawaii!

THANKS MOM, DAD, ERIC, LUCKY!! :D :D

Now I'm terribly homesick. No amount of chocolate will cure that. But I'll munch away at my feelings. I have such a wonderful family : )

Cool Candy: Candy Buttons

Have you ever heard of candy buttons? They're little knobs of candy evenly spaced out on crisp white paper. I've never tried one of these because I always thought they were made of plastic or wax and completely unedible. The pink ones are apparently cherry, the blue is lime, and the yellow is lemon. Blue lime? Weird!

These old-school candies are apparently hard to peel off so you get a bit of paper stuck to your candies. That reminds me of eating chinese dim sum buns xD George Theofiel Dib created the candy button-making machine and also invented these strange candies.

Has anyone tried these before? I want to know what they taste like!
