The "2-2 tutu birthday" - JJ. Thank you Haejun for taking me out to Bailey's Chocolate Bar (1915 Park Avenue St. Louis, MO 63104) for a secret surprise early birthday dinner! The atmosphere was super sleek and filled with chocolate lust. Deep red walls, dim mood lighting, hand-painted naked people on the walls haha. We had memorable conversations and serious girl chill time, giggling with desserts and the signature Chocolate Martini - you heard me right. M-azing! It was like liquid paradise. Don't get me started on the "Chocolate Inebriation" - chocolate fudgey cake with cinnamon ice cream and crystallized honey. Excuse my crappy phone pics. It did pretty good for being nearly dark.

Then Haejun surprised me with so many presents! Firstly and mostly, spending time comforting me and inspiring me to think about things different, being a good friend and patient listener. An ultra heartfelt card with sparkles (!!), a chic real leather roll-up pencil case (coolest concept ever and much needed), adorable bear/mole? wearing a watermelon on his head hahaha, and last but not least a storybook! It's called Cloudette and it tells the story of a small but mighty cloud ... so cute and full of puns :) I have JJ read it to me at night lol am I 22 or 2?

What I did today: shameless shameful amounts of shopping (basically my arms nearly fell off). Super excited to share my haul/fitting room review!

Sweet Sixteen

LITTLE MAN. My not-so-little brother turned sixteen on 1/3 and we went to Fish Market on Harbor Drive the night before to celebrate. A simple celebration complete with an Asian cake with fruit (very different from fruitcake connotations as this was quite tasty) from 99 Ranch, now he's all grown up *tear* Mom's a bit internet-camera-shy right now, so this silly picture of my Dad wearing the Fish Market bib should suffice :D hahaha!

Taking pictures in raw and actually editing them was a pain. The process for editing photos 5000x3000 pixels or so took 3x as long to get through my usual process. I need to figure out a workflow or some trick to make this go by faster or I'll never get off the computer. My old Lightroom presets also seem to have different effects on jpeg versus raw files and they're not as cool. If the photos don't look that much better after an outfit post, I'm going back to nooby jpeg for the sake of simplicity xD Is it just me, or do the photos actually look grainier? o_o If any of you photography buffs are reading this, halp!

Godiva Heaven: Happy Birthday From Home

Yay! Who doesn't love chocolate? : ) On 3/3, I couldn't pick up my package because I was studying hard for my exam at night but I went the next day after class and found a HUGE box of Godiva waiting for me. Omigah. Since, I've eaten through probably half of it. Heavenly *sings*

Last Wednesday 3/3 was my 20th birthday *puts on party hat* Unfortunately my college decided to have my Organic Chemistry exam that evening so it wasn't all good news ... However, my roomie did make peanut butter chocolate brownies of deliciousness, Mom sent me a HUGE package of Godiva chocolates, and my suitemates got me a gift card to Forever21 :D :D I had a great evening with friends who just absolutely made my day.

Why I waited so long to write this I don't know .. too busy having fun and writing papers (which is not fun)? I only had about an hour to shower, get everything ready for school and put on some makeup. Not the most glam outfit or makeup but note the pretty jewelry! The necklace and earrings were gifts from one of my best friends and suitemate haha (double stud SO COOL - she bought them in Hong Kong). They're so pretty!
