June, June you came so soon! This is what I wore for my second day of work (6/1). When I woke up I just felt bright and creative, so I threw on my new H&M orange skirt you saw in this post and topped it off with a lilac tshirt. After trying for ten minutes to tie this long summer scarf I got from H&M (with the adorable bird print) for only $3.95, I settled for using it as a belt instead of around my neck. Location: brick wall behind my apartment, where no cars really park and no one can stare at me as I dance in front of a tripod :)

This bright orange pleated midi skirt is one of my favourite skirts now. It is so in-your-face bright, I think I blind people walking down the street. When working under fluorescent lights day in, day out, a punch to the RGB photoreceptors clears the mind. The length is so perfect, hitting right above the knee cap, and the material is light but not completely sheer. Annie mentioned that this is see through - I didn't think it was that sheer but I still wore some black biker shorts underneath. I think I may go back and get other colours for $17.95 a pop.

I have always wanted to go to Paris, so I was really excited when my boyfriend's mom got this for me during her last trip to her favourite city. It's the perfect size (I guess I'm a M in Europe - better than the XS here and the L in Asia) and colour too. Yes, I cheated a little and didn't wear these wedges to work - I have done so before but I didn't want to slip and fall because of sweat. I'll slowly ease into wearing nice shoes too but I'll probably end up looking for cute flats at Payless.

On Thursday (6/2) I wore my H&M monarch butterfly cropped top with some skinny jeans and that was about it. Big hurry = no creativity. It wasn't worthy of posting, but so far I'm being good about taking photos after work in the 100 degree HUMID HOT HEAT.

How on earth do you ladies get dressed for work in the summers? I need help staying cool when commuting outside and keeping warm in air conditioning. Thanks for your input on where to find nice work pants too! I will explore my options this weekend hopefully, or just stick to wearing skirts every single day. I swear today I just wanted to fling everything off and don chiffon, silk, anything cooling. Antiperspirant won't even cut it in St. Louis. Boy do I miss walking around in short shorts all day and tank tops.

Still stealing internet from coffeeshops and the med school. The internet guy is supposed to come by on Tuesday, so I'm excited! To celebrate my first Friday working a 9 to 5 - the weekend feels so much better when it's well-deserved. TIL my boyfriend makes amazing banana smoothies. Kicking back with a glass of that hits the spot. Enjoy every second of the weekend! I'll be unpacking and organizing my room so that it's picture-worthy for a tour in the near future *wink*

Awe....yay for the same skirt! It's amazing how we both have the same skirt yet it looks completely different on both of us! I like it with the scarf as a belt and plain tee...you look great Angie!:)

I love how bright the skirt is as well! And it looks really cute when you pair it with the blue scarf belt. Your outfit practically screams summer - there are so many bright colors in it ^^

And I normally just bring a cardigan with me to work so I don't chilly :)
