[CLOSED] JStyleShopper $100 Giveaway

Like Asian fashion but live too far away to shop for those pieces you keep seeing on the internet? Look no further! JStyleShopper sells Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese, and Hong Kong fashion and is based in the United States. JStyleShopper is sponsoring a $100 store credit to readers of Pandaphilia!

JStyleShopper carries clothes with a theme: ruffles, lace, bows, girly and pretty things. Their pieces are also great for petites, because Asian fashion tends to account for smaller frames. I purchased a couple tee set from them last fall and was happily surprised with the durable and quality material. Remember this photoshoot? Read more on my shopping experience there.

Here are my picks from JStyleShopper. The couple tee set is so funny and cute. The guy tee says in Chinese: I just wash the dishes, but don't eat. The girl tee says: I just eat food, but don't do dishes. I would want the set in white hehe. My boyfriend is the good cook, I'm pretty useless in the kitchen. But doing dishes is my wind-down time, or it used to be. Now living in an apartment involves actually eating food we cook and washing lots and lots of dishes x_x The legwarmers and scarf are things I didn't pick up in Taiwan during night markets but wanted to.

Now onto the giveaway! Please read everything carefully and good luck!

Say That You Love Me, Say That You Care (Battle of the Print Tees #1)

Hello! Manly voice Angie reporting for outfit duty hahaha. My voice is still gone and I still sound like one of those hoarse hispanohablantes I hear on Telemundo (has anyone else noticed that lots of Spanish women have hoarse voices?). To try to make some happiness out of our long weekend and sickness, my boyfriend and I donned our couple tees I bought from JStyleShopper.com and brandished my tripod and point-and-shoot on the lawn outside in our dorm quad. Lots of people walked by with curious expressions, but usually turned around and smiled after walking past. That makes me feel good - wearing outfits that make people happier. There was some mud I trekked through in my heels (I felt like I was making holes to plant flower seeds in), but the real threat was the mosquitoes! Those suckers bit me twice in the leg and you'll see the attractive swelling in pictures haha. California girls - you are luckyyy because everywhere else in the States, those bloodsucking pests don't stop, make it pop, and [DJ] blow the speakers up.

JStyleShopper.com had a great deal on couple tees at $28 USD for both tees. The guy's tee fits my boyfriend perfectly and he usually wears a male Medium or Small (he's 5'9") and the girl's tee fits me very well but can be a little longer - I usually wear a woman's Small (I'm 5'3"). The material isn't the crappy material you pick up in Chinatown New York or abrasive cotton, but is a nice soft stretchy material. The screenprinting job is decent so it should survive washing and drying. The site is based in Ohio, USA and shipped to me in California in less than 3 days from ordering and shipping was a mere $3. This beats Boldloft's overpriced couple tees! I chose Style 7 for us in White because I really love this design - the boy calling his love through a tin can phone and her listening to the heart being transmitted :D I think this looks a lot like the Boy Meets Girl design from Boldloft but Asia's definitely been all over mass-producing that schnizz xD There are plenty of other styles for $28 USD too. The owner of the site also threw in a simple free necklace in the tightly-packaged manila envelope - I was thoroughly impressed with his packaging maneuvering skills.

The measurements for this couple tee set are given as:
Man Size: Bust 108cm, Shoulder 48cm, Length 73cm
Woman Size: Bust 84cm, Shoulder 35cm, Length 58cm

After spending 4 months apart on summer break, Mrow Mii and I needed a serious date. We usually like casual outings, so we walked to Bubble Tea on the Loop. Luckily our appetites are still there despite running noses, endless coughing, and general misery. We managed to eat a Coconut bun, Red bean bun, hot Boba Cappuccino, Yogurt Green Boba Tea, Sweet & Sour Chicken platter, and Ham & Cheese noodle soup all for under $20. Afterwards, we went to Pitaya so I could see if I could find anything wearable but no luck there. The movie theatre was also playing something non-recognizable so we headed back to the dorms. My favourite part is that people would stare as we walked past and say clearly still within earshot: "Oh, that's cute" and "Did you see their shirts?" I couldn't even hide my smile as we strutted around as the cutest couple around town today. It's so good to be back together at last!

This is the first installment also of the Battle of the Print Tees (BPT), in which I will take a simple tshirt that has a printed design on it and transform it into something fashionable. I wore my DIY ripped up denim shorts with my zip-up peep toe cage boots from Payless (which surprisingly didn't kill my feet during the entire 3 hours of walking). This turns up the fashion meter while keeping it casual for a modest night out on the town. My boyfriend wore khaki pants and black sports shoes along with his matching print tee.

Wearing
White love call girl couple tee, tag says yilanfushi (size S)
DIY ripped denim shorts, UnionBay (size 3 juniors)
Black peep toe zip-up cage pumps, Fioni for Payless (size 5)

Boyfriend is wearing
White love call guy couple tee, tag says yilanfushi (size M)
Khaki pants
Black sports shoes, New Balance

Camera: Canon SX120 IS (point and shoot). Photographer: self-timer + boyfriend

Here's to trying cute couple poses! I didn't notice the entire time but the tripod was in the way of the camera so it was caught on film in every shot d'oh D:
This was doable before Bubble Tea. Afterwards ... not so much hahaaa
Spin! I remember freshman year we were playing a version of non-alcoholic Kings with our floor and my college BFF somehow got us to both land on the right cards. She made the numbers on our cards have to pick up one and spin him/her around. I guess this is one start to a beautiful two years together xD
Now if you guys were impressed with my jump shots, check out the real pro
Failed jump shot : )
Nike!
In front of our dorm building. Too much sunlight and people walking past
In the intersection between our dorm and the frats and others on the northern side of campus. I like this little grove leading out onto the street. I made another gif animation :D I like how my pants decided to sparkle like a Teletubby as a result.
The squirrels on campus are completely unabashed. They are lazy, fat, and not scared of humans. I almost touched this one as it was sassing me up a tree. It even shook its tail, egging me on hmph hahaha
It is eating mulch I think. The squirrels at this university are not as academic as our students ... (Curse you Blogger for making picture/video quality suck after upload!)
Left: normal squirrel Right: demon squirrel (I used flash in shade, setting P macro and this is what happened. Aha! I knew it!)
Sassing the squirrel back. You want a piece of me, hmm!?
Very quick outfit photoshoot. My boyfriend found a great angle by shooting from below to make my legs look longer. This took 3 minutes, whereas it would have taken me probably 20 minutes by myself. Thank you Mrow Mii for such great photographs! :D That huge red bump on my calf is a mosquito bite the size of a baby panda
I am hoping to get lots of sleep tonight and wake up feeling slightly better. It seems that I never quite recover faster than 1.5 weeks, so I guess it's better to get this out of the way now instead of crashing during finals and bringing my own box of tissues to every exam so I can use distraction method #89: The Persistent Cough to bring the curve down. Haha just kidding xD I just hope to get better fast because there are so many things I want to enjoy and so much work I need to do. Stay healthy and take your vitamin C tablets, lovelies!
