I'm going to make another overarching over-ambitious goal just to pile more things onto my head: blog daily (or every other day). I've always envied bloggers who are so resilient towards laziness or procrastination or anything and keep chugging their way choo-choo through posts, daily, surely just as the sun rises and sets. I am a perfectionist, I'll admit. I like everything perfectly structured and organized and written and each post requires over an hour of tweaking before publishing, but I realize that people usually like the parts of me that I don't. They like imperfections because they see them as beautiful. It's time for me to let go and start posting pictures that I don't like so much. To chip away a little bit at a time.

I'm still at the mental state and with increasing symptoms of needing feedback, of needing to hear compliments or wanting to be patted on the head for a job well done. I realize that I am hesitant to post daily because I figure most people wouldn't have had time to read and comment yet and I don't like leaving the newest post up for a long time if it's not one of my favourites. I'm no fashion icon. I'm no model. I'm no top blogger. I should be grateful and in awe that so many of you even bother to view the fruits of my labours. And I am. I would have never thought to have made so many connections and become friends with such vibrant, real people in the blogosphere. Through blogging, I've learned a lot. A lot about fashion, makeup, photography, writing, but mostly about who I am and who I want to be. Amazing how a couple of paragraphs of hypertext can transform an individual.

These photos were taken over a month ago, and they're not perfect but I might as well post them sometime. I really like how the colours reminded me of Neapolitan ice cream, containing white, pink, and brown stripes for vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate flavours, respectively. This amused my 5-year-old self greatly but my fondest memory lies with Superman ice cream. High five if you remember the effects of eating that magic xD I ended up returning this H&M dress simply because it was $40 and I couldn't think of versatile outfits to fashion out of it. The length was super short in certain places and left me very uncomfortable even walking around outside in this for a brief while. Layering over tights is a must for this one and overall it's a little too night-gown for me. I tried with the leather jacket, but there simply wasn't that spark. Either way I was really sad to let this go, but sometimes intuition leads us astray or to one-outfit pieces. Flash makes the colours show up more. For some reason that shady intersection by my dorm turns all the light colours into odd variants of white when they shouldn't be. I've learned in this month that my boyfriend trumps the world's best tripod and self-timer. He is the macaroni to my cheese.

I am sad you decided to return it, it looks so cute on you! I love that you paired the super feminine dress with the leather jacket, I do that too!

I think you should post daily if it doesn't interfere with your schedule, I know I would be so happy for the inspiration. I sometimes forget to comment because I am so busy dreaming up outfits but I'll remember to be better about it.

this is one of my faves, Angie! too bad you returned it, you looked great in it, and i loved it paired with the jacket! But if you're not comfortable then why not get your money back?

i sooo agree with what you wrote (not just about Neapolitan ice cream, my childhood fave) but about blogging. i tend to get lazy, but i also don't post everyday so people will have time to read it. i feel if i post too early then i will have wasted my last post. i'm still in that awkward phase of blogging, especially cuz everything's hectic right now. but we'll see what the new year brings :D

Angie, the jacket pairs rather well with the softer ruffles of your dress. I envision that a long cardigan might look good with the dress too :) Aw blogging everyday is seriously commitment! I do admire those who have that kind of self-discipline, but I for one just don't have that energy/time everyday :\ I agree with you that through blogging, I figured out more of who I am!

Aw, Angie :) The dress is really pretty. Sad that you had to return it, because I know you can turn that dress to something spectacular. The price, however, is a good reason :/ Aye! You look like a pretty ballerina in it :)

Don't put yourself down :) I am known to be a perfectionist of sorts too. It takes me an hr to post an entry, even if it's just swatches of a lipstick :p I don't see any shame in you creating the best portfolio for your blog :) After all, you are studying health care! Perfection is a must! :) But i have to admit, I like your totally random posts.. they really bring out your character and charisma. There is no others like you :D

Looking forward to your next entry as always! :)

Beautiful outfit, Angie. I think you've perfectly encapsulated feminine and rocker into an outfit. So well executed and I hardly ever see it done :)

As for what you wrote, I feel you and have often thought that I should post every day but also found myself shying away from it for the same reasons. My only piece of advice would be: at the end of the day, you're doing this for fun (at least for now). Post however much or little as you want! Don't ever let blogging get you down or do anything negative to your relationships (for me, I tend to freak out at my boyfriend a bit when my perfectionist tendencies don't get appeased). You've clearly earned many loyal readers who come back time and time again to be inspired by you! Keep having fun and going at it and don't be too hard on yourself :)

Good guess on the Star Trek episode :). The klingon lady was half klingon and half human. And yes, Worf did produce a child with her without him knowing about the birth of the child.

The Perfect Mate episode was about two countries who were at war with each other for many years, one being a much stronger country than the other. The weaker country wanted the war to end so the people there sent this morphosis female to the other country hoping for peace. Of course she made all the males in the Enterprise have a crush on her :).

The dress here is beautiful and girly! From what I can see of the texture, it must be very soft, too. The temps are cooling down in Austin. I hope you will have more sunny days in where you live :).

awww, you're such a perfectionist!
but you shoulnd't depend on what others say. (I hope I read it right to what you mean) but I do agree that sometimes people find the unperfect side of you gorgeous. *pats on head* good job! I really love this outfit and I don't seem why you return the dress because its a absolutely gorgeous dress! (except the price) I love how you combined sweet and edgy!

I think the dress is pretty with all those soft layers, but I don't think it's a bad thing that you returned because I think it could potentially be a baby-bump dress from some angles :P As for posting daily, I admire people who can keep it up, because honestly I just don't have the time to do that!
