H&M Garden Collection: All About the Ruffles and Sleeves

I know I'm kind of late to hop on this bandwagon, but I've been infatuated with the H&M Garden Collection from the beginning. I'm not really big on florals but I realize that they actually work pretty well on me. Since I had that 20% off entire purchase lovely coupon from PetiteAsianGirl, I went to try some of the new products out. Now I'm just waiting for the sales hahaha :D They're a bit pricey for my liking, but I'm sure anyone with steady income can afford them easily.

All photos are property of H&M.

Here are a few pieces that caught my eye:

This elegant butterfly sleeve top is nice and loose, fluttery, and really does have the coolest sleeves. This picture doesn't quite do it justice. Now I can pour tea elegantly hahaha. The shorts are pretty expensive but are super cute with the ruffles. They look perfect for walking by the beachside or going anywhere in Cali for that matter.
Top: $29.95 USD (I could get it for $24 with that coupon. Liveable)
Shorts:$29.95 USD

This dress has really pretty fluttery sleeves. I'm all about the sleeves! I'll try to sneak some photos in the dressing room in case I go shopping again this weekend to exchange/return some stuff I didn't like.
Dress: $19.95 (not bad)
The ruffles of this dress are kind of strange. They extend all the way down the side. When I saw that in the store I thought it was so strange and would never work but it seems to look great on the model.
Dress: $17.95 USD (quite affordable :D)
I like this collection so much because of all the flutter, not body-hugging loose fun summery styles. This top is no exception - it features cool sleeves and embroidery. Last but not least, can I get a what what for SCALLOP HEMS?! They're the hottest trend and most classy I think of this entire season.
Top: $24.95 USD
There was a cute shirt at H&M that looked like this. Not sure if it was from the Garden Collection but it was a nice pretty bright blue and sheer. I would have gotten it if it were a little less pricey. Again, ruffles and sleeves.
Top: $19.95 USD
A pretty peasant top. Looks flattering for all body shapes.
Top: $17.95 USD
And what's summer without a good sturdy pair of shorts? Everything about this screams "lady." Match this with a pair of high heels and you're good to show off those beautiful legs.
Shorts: $24.95 USD
Of course this is not the entirety of the collection. There is the ever popular kimono dress, the red rose blazer, but they don't really tickle my fancy.

Have you purchased anything from this collection? Tell me what your favourite pieces are :D

PS: Giveaway Love alert! Smootchkiss is having an amazing MAC Hello Kitty giveaway! Check it out and support her new blog (old one got deleted because Blogger thought it was spam. Poor thing!)

FOTD: "Au" Digger (Wet N Wild Vanity E/S Palette)

Well aren't I clever? Haha. I didn't want to use Gold Digger as my title, but the nerdy chemical version will do. This is the makeup I wore with yesterday's look. I took all the photos outdoors so in bright sunshine, it may look different than the bathroom lighting you guys are used to.

I was going for a more natural look so if this melts right into my skin tone, that's probably why. It's a nice, pretty sun-gorgeous look for summer : )

Products used:
Wet N Wild E/S Palette in Vanity: bronze shimmery shade all over lid, gold on inner half of lid, pearl for browbone, a little gold swept under lower lashline
ELF Mineral Primer
ELF Studio Concealer Pencil in Light
ELF Studio Complexion Perfection
ELF Studio Creme Eyeliner in Black
NYC False Lashes, cut in half and glued to outer corners
Imju Fiberwig Mascara
Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Ash
ELF Studio Cool Bronzer for cheekbone contour
ELF Healthy Glow Bronzer Powder in Luminance for nose highlight
Revlon Nude Attitude, then ELF Mineral Lipstick in Rosy Tan
Clear contacts (yay natural eyes!)

Yes, I do realize that up close my lashes are crooked. Didn't prevent me from batting them though :3
See how my eyes look flirtier? Just cut your normal lashes in half and apply them along the outer corners (works perfectly with winged eyeliner. I dislike wearing full falsies anyway. Can never align them right.
Looks odd from above, eh? I applied Fiberwig to lengthen my inner lashes that weren't eaten by my falsies.
This is in full sunlight taking a walk through the neighborhood. My new camera makes the sky look more awesome than it actually is. Now that's talent. No editing of the colours at all. My hair is actually quite light. Never noticed that until now. Good? Bad? Should I dye it some abysmally uber dark colour? Btw, I don't know why I look so pissed xD
I leave you with an adorable picture of a baby Squirrel monkey. I did think they were a crossbreed of squirrels and monkeys for a second but they're way more uber. Lookie that precious hug the crap out of that fuzzy duck :D

Do you like my bathroom lighting photos better or these new bright sunshine ones? I don't know which pics up more colour. And how do you get rid of the tiny tiny little brow hairs that like to hang out around your crease? Never see them til you take super macro pictures and blow them up.

Ah, yet another giveaway :) This is Cosmetic Outlet's NARS Giveaway. You can win a Sheer Glow Foundation, Blush, and Eyeshadow Single/Duo.

Enjoy your Friday, sweets~

So I Hear You're a Stud

Yay new pics from my new camera :D All the colours are super bright in great sunlight. There are a gajillion pictures, so be warned. Mom took me shopping in Escondido today because I woke up and was a normal diurnal being for once. I'll do a post tomorrow on all my lovely finds :D I didn't sleep much last night, unfortunately. The room reeked of onions and vinegar for some reason and I couldn't open the window. Bleh.

This dress was featured a few posts ago and as you all know, I won the dress and connector ring from Forever21 Twitter Tuesday yay! I'm glad I can finally show you guys all the pretty detail. For kicks I also redid the golden makeup as well but that will be a post for sometime this week. Can't fit all these pictures in one!

The beading is still pretty heavy and my bra strap shows in the back, so I just reconciled covering up the huge hole and straps with a nice light jacket, an old fave from Ross. It normally has a belt but I took it off because I didn't want to button it. I grabbed some chunky blingy jewelry and shades and voila! The dress is made of a chignon chiffon material (lol wow chignon is a hairstyle) and is just so darn intricate. I think I wore the wrong shoes for this outfit but I needed to walk around and shop : )

Wearing:
Beaded detail Boutique dress, F21 *
Pyramid stud connector ring, F21 *
Red "pettijacket", Ross
White low heel pumps, Payless
Pearl and crystal bracelets, F21
Brown square sunglasses, F21
* denotes Twitter Tuesday prizes from Forever21

Not bad for self-timer photos, eh?

Lol my Mom was like wth are you doing ...?
Details, details!
Glam shot lol. Can you see my half falsies?

The sky is so blue! Goodness I love this camera
Bold shoulders BEFORE the trend started - I'm proud
A diva is the female version of a hustler (you said it, Beyonce)
I hope you guys enjoyed this outfit! I spent a lot of time working on editing these photos : ) I hope to make my OOTD's more fashion community appropriate. Basically brighter, larger, glammer. Don't worry though. I'll always be Angie ~ :D Question for my lovely viewers though: Do you like the sunglasses as part of any outfit? Or would you rather see my eyes in my outfits?

I'm still on the lookout for a pink boyfriend blazer and flattering orange lipstick. Haul post and FOTD coming soon!

Heave, Haul! Shopping in Escondido

Mom totally spoiled me. I got a military jacket, floppy HUGE white sunhat, and a beach sundress Mom was obsessed with from H&M (she thought it looked great on the model's pictures lol. I'm not that tall but she still liked the dress so much so we go it). I had that lovely 20% off entire purchase coupon from PetiteAsianGirl, so I saved a bunch and spent less than $40 :D I went with size 6's actually because I wanted looser fits. Mom also so a floral shirt with pretty sleeves from H&M's Garden Collection but it was still $30 so we passed. Can't wait til it's on sale so I can elegantly pour tea or some nonsense like that xD

Then we headed off to Victoria's Secret for a strapless bra. I hate pulling up on the upper hem of my dress every 5 seconds and it's annoying and distracting. So I jumped around the dressing room making sure this baby didn't slip. I ended up getting the Very Sexy Plunge Multi-way in Nude. I just found out that online though, it is only $37.50 and I paid $40 after reduction with my members coupon. I don't even shop there, have no idea why they keep mailing me coupon cards ... haha. It's normally $50 a pop, so not bad. This bra has gel inlays for pushup that you can take out when you do your laundry. Neato. The lady measured me and was like uh you're <32A cup. My ego was deflated and I assumed that she thought all Asian girls lack boobs. Well I proved her WRONG in that dressing room. Damn straight. You should go a strap size smaller for straplesses so the stupid thing clings on for dear life.

Of course, I had to stop by Forever21. I didn't get much though. There was so much cute stuff but I tried to save Mom some money :D I ended up getting a lace butterfly sleeve top with a nude cami to wear underneath. Also, I picked up an adorable plastic white ring (didn't have the light pink or mint I was looking for) and a blingy filigree ring that actually fits. I kept feeling like the cashier was hitting on me, tried to get me to buy some "Korean" facial masks, and thought I was Korean, then Japanese. That sir, is a no-go xD

We finished off with lunch at Panda Express before we had to pick up my brother. Ah, isn't shopping nice and relaxing? : )
