Hiya and happy Wednesday, friends! The Midwestern spring finally arriving this week (as opposed to gorgeous SoCal sun year round) is quite the hallelujah. Columbus has been full of twittering birds, blue skies, and 80 degree temps. Speaking of which, yesterday I entered Stylemint's #styleforyourcity contest and am excited to share a bit about the locals.

The sassiness and glitz and glam is very Short North district and the "go big or go home" attitude plays into our college town vibe.

Hi guys! it's been eons and eons, I know! What have I been up to? Well, aside from keeping track of my sleep records to collect data on my own biological clock, taking classes until 9 PM every weekday, and studying for Angie versus the MCAT Round 2, and conducting research, I entered a Hypeed contest featuring photos from a glamour shoot my boyfriend and I did in Taiwan at Modern Concept Studios. Here is a sneak preview of a Kodak perfect time and I will be posting more of those photos in the future.

He was an absolute pro in finding all the proper angles and lighting on a gloomy day. The screenshot shows Hypeed's take on our photo: "ONE WORD: CHIC" ! We're so flattered to be grazing the front page of the contest slide show right now.

I have decided that I miss blogging wayyy too much just to leave it but I do hope that I can learn something from having adventures in the clean, fresh air instead of hiding behind my computer screen all the time. This semester is hectic, but prepare for Summer 2011 - new camera, new style, and endless fashion.

Ever since I saw the kawaii girls in japanese magazines strut their ultra-cute style on the streets, I knew I wanted to dress up in Western-inspired denim and white skirts, cowboy boots and hats. I'm usually a season ahead or behind on the big trends, so I only got my hands on the perfect pieces this summer and rocked them in the last days of my vacation before I headed back to college.


Though I am already 20-years-old, I like looking young and cute because our youth is brief and I want to embrace it while I can. Curly hair and cute hand gestures always make me smile when I look at photos, so I want my outfits to be kawaii as well. What makes me cute is how I do silly poses in my outfit pictures to make my readers laugh and have fun while looking at my pictures. I want to spread the love and smiles across the blogosphere!

Before April even introduced OnlyCuteStyle.com on her blog, I knew about this site and had browsed through their adorable clothing. One of the outfits I remembered was this one, with a denim vest and brown-belted white skirt perfect for a gyaru cowgirl style. I changed it up a little by replacing the straw hat with a big floppy white sunhat and using a chambray shirt with ruffled sleeves. Instead of cowboy boots, I wore brown cork heel wedges, which created a more urban look.

"This Paris-inspired outfit is pretty much entirely Forever21 Tres Paris collection and I fell in love so my Mom bought it for me for Christmas : ) I would like to go to France someday - it is my dream! I'm very enamored with the romance of French culture and I secretly want to get proposed to in Paris x3.

I'd bring my boyfriend! He speaks French and has been to Paris before, so he can show me around. I dream of drinking coffee in a European styled coffee shop and reading novels between shopping for chic Parisian style.

I want to dance on the top of the Eiffel Tower (yes, the tippy top), but I don't think they would allow it. We can always dream, right? ♥
